Height
Hang your pendant 70–80cm above the tabletop. Too high and it loses intimacy; too low and it becomes a conversation barrier. For higher ceilings, consider a cluster of pendants at varying heights.
Width
A single pendant should be roughly half the width of your dining table. For a 180cm table, aim for a 80–100cm shade diameter — or use two or three smaller pendants spaced evenly.
Style
Match the pendant to the mood, not just the furniture. A rattan shade brings warmth to a neutral room. A brass or crystal pendant elevates a formal setting. Industrial iron works beautifully with raw timber and exposed brick.
